Move ~ In Checklist

2-3 Weeks before moving

• If you are using a moving company, confirm pack dates & supply them with desitnation & your phone number.
• Make travel plans, prepare your car for the trip.
• Have rugs & draperies cleaned, leave wrapped.
• Set date for utilities disconnection.

3-4 Days before moving

• Prepare valuables such as money & credit cards to take with you.
• Pack suitcases.  Arrange for a babysitter if necessary.
• Empty the refrigerator so that it can dry completely before movers arrive.

The Day before Moving

• Have dishes washed & dried
• Unplug TV so that it is at room temp when loaded.
• Check closets, cabinets and storage areas for any articles that might have been overlooked.

MOVING DAY!!

• Carry jewelry & documents yourself, plan for transporting of pets.
• Let someone know your route & schedule.
• Check on service connections.
• Make sure you have changed your address on your driver's license, auto registration, insurance, etc.
